All of Wrightstyle’s systems undergo a rigorous testing & development programme, from initial conception to the final fabrication of the product, it is analysed and checked every step of the way.
At the conception stage the feasibility designs are studied and models are created, giving a 3-dimensional ‘virtual sample’ where every eventuality can be examined.
At the creation stage, the steel rolling mills operate under in-house quality assurance procedures, in addition to the tolerance standards that must be adhered to for dimensions and material quality.
Current production standards are as follows:
Steel types:-
Mild Steel according to DIN 17100 (Equivalent to EN10025)
Stainless Steel according to DIN 17440 (Equivalent to AISI spec)
Steel tolerances:-
Length tolerance to DIN EN 10162
Cross sectional tolerance to DIN ISO 2768
Zinc Galvanising:-
Sendzimir galvanising to EN10142
Aluminium types:-
Aluminium alloy according to DIN1747 &DIN17615(Equivalent to BSEN573-3)
Aluminium tolerances:-
Length tolerance to DIN EN 10162
Cross sectional tolerance to BS EN 1474
Gasket types:-
EPDM according to DIN EN 7863 (Equivalent to BS3734)
Gasket tolerances:-
Length tolerances to DIN EN 7715 (Equivalent to BS3734)
Cross sectional tolerance to DIN EN 771544 (Equivalent to BS3734-E1)
Screw types:-
Stainless steel according to DIN EN 17440 (Equivalent to AISI spec)
Screw tolerance:-
Length tolerance to DIN EN 7970
Cross sectional tolerance to DIN EN 7976
(NB: For specific material types, please refer to the specification manual section under ‘systems’ for the required system.)
When materials have been produced for the systems, the prototype can then undergo a series of indicative evaluations; e.g. for cyclic (opening & closing) and performance testing to meet the required specification.
Once the systems achieve the desired performance, they can then undergo official testing at an accredited laboratory.
For further information on test standards please refer to the applications page for each system.
