Thermal & weather performance for doors, screens and windows is a key element to be considered in any commerical building.
At Wrightstyle we can provide a variety of bespoke solutions to meet a projects specifications. We are here to help and can guide you through all the technical issues and requirements specific to your project.
Weather Performance
Performance testing undertaken on a single action opening vent window – as the single action rebate is the same detail throughtout the systems, this data applies also to doors. Tests have been undertaken to BS5368 Parts 1, 2 & 3 and evaluated according to BS6375 Parts 1 & 2.
These include: Air infiltration test, water penetration test and wind resistance test.
Thermal Performance
Thermal analysis has proven that certain system arrangements can provide overall U-values below the Document L requirement of 2.2W/m2K when used in conjunction with a high performance glass.
Compliance to a thermal (or Document L) specification must be shown by an analysis of a particular system arrangement, taking into account the entire assemby and components.
Analysis has been carried out in accordance with EN10077 on the common stop bar system arrangements, but as every project is different this can only be used as a guide as to what the system achieves in relation to the size and configuration of the assemby and the centre pane value of the glass.
