Sound reduction curtain wall in the SR series offers protection from sound intrusion within the working environment. Performance testing has been undertaken to DIN EN 52210 and the system has achieved an average weighted noise reduction of up to 42 dB throughout the common frequency range.
Noise pollution can be hugely detrimental to the welfare of staff in commercial buildings and should be a key factor in the design of these buildings.
The steel advantage.
The SR series curtain wall facade & roof glazing system is a unique alliance between the aesthetic qualities of normal aluminium systems, and the inherent strength and durability of steel. The system is thermally broken, gasket glazed, self-draining and pressure equalised, with the ability to span large expanses unassisted. It is erected in stick format, using steel or aluminium shear blocks, dependant on the application.
Sound performance
The sound reduction performance of a facade is dictated by a number of factors, which individually can have different effects. These factors cannot be easily summarised into different formats. Just the slightest change in arrangement, profiles and glass make ups can have a dramatic effect on the overall performance of the facade.
The system has been extensively tested to international standards for many different applications.
