As the construction sector emerges from lockdown into a new normal, we’re all going to have to think in new ways.
Not least how to protect our staff, or ensure the viability of our supply chains.
Rebuilding our businesses will take time and, in turn, depends on how well the wider economy bounces back.
But most companies will also need a large dollop of innovative thinking. To work in new ways, find new customers, or provide imaginative solutions.
Our track record of innovation is something that we’re proud of at Wrightstyle. It’s helped us grow into a business that now supplies internationally.
As an example of Wrightstyle’s innovation, this year marks the 10th anniversary since we launched our unlatched fire-resistant door system.
It’s a system that architects and interior designers had wanted to specify for years, but none were on the market.
Fire safety
Our breakthrough fire door system was the first to offer designers a range of unlatched fully-glazed interior or exterior doors.
They still offer complete practicality coupled with absolute fire safety. Offering choice, they come in single or double leaf formats with a wide range of finishes and glazing options.
The double leaf door system is also available in a format that allows each door to be opened separately and simultaneously in either direction.
Our unlatched doors are therefore an ideal choice for heavy traffic thoroughfares and busy corridors.
The system was a design innovation that significantly pushed the design envelope. It provided a technological solution for what had always been an interior design problem.
Until then, interior fire doors in their closed position had to be manually opened with a handle and latch.
Fire-tested
In a fire, our door system automatically and securely closes, providing a barrier against fire and toxic gases.
The system is fire-tested and certified and comes in a range of fire resistance options for integrity only or insulation and integrity.
While developed primarily for interior use, the Wrightstyle system can also be fitted with secure deadlocks, allowing it to be used as an exterior door.
Nowadays, of course, we are only one of several other providers able to supply unlatched fire doors.
“However, we were the first and that innovative X-Factor is important to us because, whatever the project, we will find an appropriate solution,” said Jimmy Chiu, Business Development Manager.
“Complete and guaranteed. That’s the Wrightstyle promise,” he said.
